Luce tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she goes to a home with experienced cat parents. Luce is described by her previous owner as a friendly cat who spends most of her time around people. She plays gently and receives interactive playtime multiple times per week. Luce enjoys scratching on rough rope and vertical scratching surfaces. Her previous owner's favorite thing about Luce is that she is incredibly affectionate with the people she trusts. If her owner stayed up late working, she would come over, gently touch their hand, and meow as if reminding them it was time for bed. She loved sleeping close to her owner and would often rest on their chest throughout the night. The previous owner reports that Luce can be shy and fearful when new people visit the home and may hide until she feels comfortable.
