Jagger - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Los Angeles, California

Jagger has been with his fosters in East Hollywood for one week.

Jagger is a little love bug, a little purr machine. He meows quietly, excitedly when you come into the room and he immediately wants to be all over you. He loves cuddles and will immediately start making biscuits on you. He loves chin and cheek scratches and will let you pat him anywhere including his belly.

He is a kitten, so he does have some rambunctious playful kitten energy which does involve biting and scratching when he gets excited. Attempts to redirect to kicker toys have so far failed, but he'll get there with some training and love.

He isn't particularly food motivated, he will eat his wet food when he gets around to it, but play is something that he is very motivated around. He loves to chase around a laser toy, and he is absolutely a climber. He would benefit from having several scratcher surfaces, so he doesn't focus all of his attention on your couch. He loves automated toys but you need to watch him as he will give the toy 100 percent of his effort in catching that wand toy being circled around, which can absolutely lead to a broken or bent toy pretty quickly.

He loves treats, uses the litter box 100 percent, remembers to drink his water and is really just a joy to have around.

He would absolutely be a foster fail, however the Fosters have a resident cat that is absolutely not coping with Jagger being in her space. He is currently locked in the second bedroom while she has full run of the apartment because all attempts to get then ready to meet face-to-face have failed. It's not fair for him to be locked in a room by himself for most of the day (because the resident cat demands more attention), so it would be better that he finds somewhere where he can run around and be himself. He seems curious about the other cat, and hasn't shown any aggression towards her, so it's believed he could absolutely be in a home with other pets. He might be a little rough with small children until he has a little more training but he just wants to play and is never aggressive. Jagger would be an amazing addition to anyone's family, if you want a little playful love bug, he's absolutely your guy!
