Every day is a little brighter than the one before. That’s how I’d describe my life now. I’m Ruby, and I’m a sweet, outgoing girl who has learned that the world can be a loving place.

My beginning was difficult. A hoarder kept me and four other kitties in a ferret cage, and we went days between meals. Because of everything I’d been through, I was feral and fearful when I was handed over to my rescuer as a young kitten. She never gave up on me, and I’m so grateful.

With her patience, I slowly learned to trust. I now know I’ll always have food available, and I’ve grown into a girl who loves affection. Pet me, scratch my ears, or rub my belly, and you’ll see just how sweet I can be. I’m even letting people pick me up a little at a time, which is a big step for me.

I love playing with fuzzy balls and rattle balls, and I think boxes make the best beds. I’m also great with other cats and kittens, so I’d happily share my home with feline siblings.
