Largo - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Lethbridge, Alberta

Largo was born between two and four a.m. to Rhapsody, a highly socialized stray taken in by PAW. We had hoped that Rho was not pregnant, as we suspected she was unspayed. She was indeed pregnant. During the night of April 9th/10th, she gave birth to five kittens. Largo (the term for a musical movement that is slow) was born last, after a bit of an interval between him and his next older sibling.

Personality:

Largo is the smallest of his litter, though hes growing and closing the distance on his siblings. He looks a little different than they do, too, less full of face and slimmer; his colouring is darker and tabby stripes stand out on his flanks. His fur has a different texture than the other kittens. Healthy and vigorous, just as his brothers. Once he's challenged to a tussle, he goes all in and gives as good as he gets. But it's all in fun, and he gets along with his family. He's met adult cats and, though wary, he's not overly bothered by them. He will be found on his own a little more than his siblings maybe having been late out of the womb, he rather liked the peace and quiet. But that doesn't mean he's a loner; he may take advantage of the others being off and about to get an extra nap, but then he'll be away to join them in their antics. He is very quick to start purring when given attention, and likes head-rubs the best. Largo's name may mean slow but that refers to the order of his birth as he was the final one out, in no hurry and not his method of learning. In fact, he was the first of Rhapsody's babies to use a litter-box, and probably the first to eat solid food. He's also the first to be seen kneading in delight. He, like his beautiful mum, Rhapsody, and siblings, Presto, Andante and Allegro, will be ready for adoption in July.

Please Note:

The $250 adoption fee covers first vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and micro-chip.
When it is time for the kittens spay/neuter surgery, a representative from PAW will be in touch with adopter to co-ordinate the date.
All surgeries will be done at Highlands Pet Hospital in Lethbridge unless the adopter lives out of the area. For those cases, arrangements will be discussed individually.
If adopter chooses to add pre-anesthetic blood-work prior to spay/neuter surgery, payment for that is the responsibility of the adopter and is payable to the veterinary clinic the morning of surgery.
Post-surgery, adopter must contact PAW to request change in contact information for micro-chip (no charge)
