Every Mario Kart fan knows that Luigi is the underrated one — the overlooked brother who, when given the chance, turns out to be just as wonderful as his famous sibling. And in the Mario Kart foster litter, Luigi has lived up to his name perfectly. As the shyest of the litter (alongside siblings Mario, Bowser, and Peach), Luigi took his time finding his confidence, but the kitten who has emerged from that shell is an absolute gem.

Luigi may have been last off the starting grid, but he’s quickly making up for lost time. These days he approaches for pets regularly, and once those scritches begin, the purring kicks in like an engine that won’t quit. He even loves belly rubs — a level of trust that tells you everything you need to know about how far this sweet boy has come.

When he’s not soaking up affection, Luigi is happily entertaining himself with playtime or keeping a very close eye on his food bowl — because a growing hero needs his fuel! Through it all, his bond with brother Mario has remained one of his greatest comforts; the two are genuinely fond of each other, if you’re up for adopting two mini panthers.

Luigi would flourish in a calm, patient home where he has the space to continue blossoming at his own pace. He’d do well with or without older children who understand that the quiet ones are often the most rewarding.
