Calvin is the cool cucumber in my recent arrivals. He was a new resident dropoff or arrival at a community cat colony, who walked straight into a carrier for bits of chicken, allowed petting all over, and showed that he wanted again to be a house pet. This gray tabby gets along with two female tabbies (one blind) and a lively 3-month-old tabby kitten with total calmness (except if I turn on the hairdryer - back to the catbed).
He does love to lounge in cat beds, testing out 3 here. Calvin knows to come when called, and comes to you for petting. He can be picked up and carried around, but likes to warm up to new people by smelling their hand first, as do most adult cats. He has grown past his own kitten rambunctiousness but lets the kitten jump around him and even share his food.
Calvin was used to being outdoors, so we found he wanted to be in the window sill, potentially wanting to see out or even roam. He has settled down indoors and we suggest he now be an indoor kitty.
Calvin yearns again for a quiet cat-loving home, older kids OK. He is now neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated (including against FeLV) and tested negative for FIV/FeLV (a good thing). He loves kibble and content on his wet food choices. To fill out our brief, no-obligation application, go to www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PALC/Cat
