DESCRIPTION

WE'RE SPIKE & DUCKY: A BROTHER-SISTER DUO LOOKING FOR OUR FOREVER TOGETHER. We're Spike and Ducky, brother and sister, best friends, playmates, and the kind of pair who can make an ordinary house feel a whole lot more alive. We have big personalities and plenty of energy, but underneath all that zooming, playing and exploring are two incredibly affectionate cats who absolutely love attention. Pet us and you'll usually be rewarded with purr... sometimes so many purrs that we seem to forget how to turn them off. We love just about anything involving a feather, although we should probably apologize in advance to the feather toys because they tend to have rather short careers in our house. We play hard, explore everything and genuinely enjoy being part of whatever is happening around us. We're still getting used to being picked up and held, so we'd love a family who understands that affection doesn't always have to mean being carried around. Give us pets, playtime and a little patience while we continue building that confidence, and we'll happily show you just how sweet we are. Like most curious, energetic cats, we do have a few habits our future family should know about. We've been known to investigate cords with our teeth, so cord protectors are a good idea, and Spike occasionally believes countertops were invented specifically for him. Nothing a little cat-proofing and consistency can't handle-it's just part of living with two smart, busy cats who like to know exactly what's going on in their kingdom. Spike seems to enjoy other cats, while Ducky is a little more unsure about other cats and dogs, so we think our happiest home would probably be one where we can be your only pets. A home without very young children may suit us best too, simply because we're active and still learning to feel completely comfortable being handled. We're litterbox trained, spayed and neutered, up to date on our vaccines, and microchipped. And there is one thing that isn't negotiable: we must be adopted together. We've always had each other, and that bond is part of what makes us who we are. We're not looking for someone who wants two perfectly boring cats. We're looking for someone who wants two affectionate, hilarious, curious little souls who will fill their home with purrs, playtime, personality and probably a few stories worth telling. We already found our best friend in each other. Now we're hoping we can find our family, too.
