Meet Suzy Q!

Suzy Q is just over a year old, FIV-positive, and ready to find the family she's been waiting for since February.

If you're looking for a cat who will absolutely adore you, she's your girl.

She loves being picked up, melts into your hands for pets, rolls over for belly rubs, makes endless biscuits, and soaks up every ounce of attention she can get. She's affectionate, happy, incredibly sweet, and has never let life's challenges stop her from loving people with her whole heart.

When Suzy Q was found living outside as a young kitten, life hadn't been kind to her. Without the veterinary care every kitten deserves, a severe upper respiratory infection left permanent scarring to one of her eye, which is why it will always look a little watery. She also arrived with painful dental disease that required most of her teeth to be removed, despite being so young.

She's spent the past several months in and out of foster homes while we worked with our veterinary team to understand exactly what she needed. Today, we know that her eye is simply part of who she is. She may always have mild cold symptoms from time to time, and because of her FIV, she may occasionally experience flare-ups of respiratory symptoms or inflammation in her mouth.

What she needs isn't endless medical treatment.

She simply needs a family that understands her, keeps her safely indoors, provides regular veterinary care, and is proactive if she has a flare-up.
