Meet Romeo

Some cats have a story... and then there's Romeo.

Romeo's journey began in the tunnels, where he was living alongside a person experiencing homelessness. When he came into care, he was sick with calicivirus and in need of help. With patience, dedication, and veterinary care, he was nursed back to health, neutered, and fully vaccinated. When attempts were made to reunite him with his original person, they were unsuccessful-and so Romeo's next chapter began.

Now, this one-year-old boy is ready to find a home of his own.

Romeo is full of personality. He's incredibly people-focused-a true "Velcro cat" who loves being close. He'll follow you around, weave through your legs, and even dramatically flop in front of you to demand attention (his specialty move ). He makes eye contact like he's trying to read your mind and has a whole range of vocalizations to keep the conversation going.

He's also a lap cat, a cuddle bug, and a deeply connected companion. But make no mistake-Romeo is high-energy and curious, especially at night. He loves to explore, problem-solve, and figure out how to get into just about anything he finds interesting. He'll thrive in a home that can give him plenty of playtime, enrichment, and engagement.

Because of his past, Romeo does best as the only pet. He becomes stressed around other cats-particularly when it comes to food-and has shown behaviors like guarding and spraying in multi-cat environments. When he had his own space, those behaviors were not present, so we strongly believe he will do best as your one-and-only.

He is otherwise healthy, FIV/FeLV negative, and uses the litter box, though he may need some support and consistency as he settles into a new environment.

Romeo's ideal home?
Someone who wants an interactive, affectionate, and entertaining companion-not a background cat. He's for the person who wants a cat that is part of everything, who will talk to you, follow you, and love you deeply.

He's sensitive, too-he responds best to calm, patient energy and will bond closely with someone who makes him feel safe.

Romeo has come a long way from where he started. Now, he just needs someone to give him the stability, attention, and love he's been searching for all along.
