DESCRIPTION
Say hi to Rye!
This adorable senior Shiba was found as a stray and is now looking for his new furever home. Don't let his age fool you because he still has plenty of pep. Rye can be a little shy at first, but enjoys affection once he's comfortable. He is not afraid to speak his mind, as Shibas do, so apartment living may not be ideal. He is open to living with kids of all ages and possibly small animals like cats. He would like to be the only dog in the home. Rye is a great little guy and he deserves a wonderful home for his golden years. Could you find room in your heart for him?
If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared - bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.

Originating from Japan, Shiba Inus are independent, alert, and spirited dogs. They are loyal to their families but can be reserved around strangers. With a thick double coat and a distinct red, sesame, or black and tan coloration, Shiba Inus are charming companions for active individuals or families.
