She has made tremendous progress in a foster home, learning to trust humans. She started off terrified of humans. She doesn't love humans just yet, often hissing to show her tough girl exterior before settling in. She tolerates pets, kisses, and being held for short periods of time, with progress in all of these areas happening everyday. She will dash off to her favorite hiding spot if given the chance so keeping her in a small, enclosed space while she settles in is a must. This adorable little kitten may be shy, but there's a sweet kitty waiting to come out!
Dash is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to give her the time and space needed to learn that humans can be trusted. Socialization will take time, and this little one will need someone who understands that progress may come in small steps-first a curious glance, then a tentative sniff, and eventually, hopefully, a purr and a cuddle. Her ideal home will be have plenty of Churru treats on hand!
A quiet home, consistent routine, gentle interaction, and plenty of patience will be key to helping this kitten blossom. A confident, friendly cat may also help. Dash is most confident in the company of her foster siblings where she enjoys rough housing and snuggles.
