Tapioca is a shy little girl who is patiently waiting for someone to give her the quiet, loving home that she deserves. As a retired blood donor, she has spent her time helping save other kitties' lives, and now it's her turn to be someone's beloved companion. She is a special kitty who takes her time getting comfortable. Once she trusts you, she will accept pets. She will need a patient family who understands that she may take some time to come out of her shell, so a quiet home without dogs or small children would be best for her. She absolutely loves the company of other cats and would likely thrive with a feline friend or two in her new home.
Tapioca has recently started overgrooming herself, and we are currently doing a medication trial to see if we can help her feel more comfortable. We believe the stress of shelter life may be contributing to this behavior. Her future family should be willing to continue working with her and give her the time and patience she needs. Please reach out with any questions about her medication trial or medical needs.
She is about 7 years old, spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. Our adoption fee is a suggested $25 (or more) donation to Capital Area Humane Society or Saved By Zade in her name.
