Same shade. Different sparkle. Better together.
Doc & Dew are a 5-month-old brother-and-sister duo, serving up gorgeous buff coats, stunning features and two very different personalities in almost identical packaging.
Their full names are Dr Pepper and Mountain Dew, but around here, it’s Doc and Dew. Because when you’re calling two kittens who have very important kitten things to do, nobody has time for government names.
Doc is our solid-buff boy, and his approach to life is pretty straightforward:
“We should probably go see what that is.” He’s outgoing, curious and brave—the kind of kitten who makes you realize just how many things in your house apparently require an inspection.
A box you just brought inside? Interesting.
A toy he hasn’t seen before? Very interesting.
Whatever you’re doing over there?
Well, now he needs to know.
Doc has that wonderful little spark of confidence that makes getting to know him so much fun. He’s ready to explore, meet people and take part in the day. If you’ve been hoping for a cat with personality—someone whose curiosity gives you a reason to laugh and whose presence makes the house feel more alive—this handsome boy has plenty to offer.
Dew is his beautiful buff sister, with a small white patch on her chest that helps solve the “Wait, which one are you?” situation. She’s sweet. She’s quiet.
She is also absolutely prepared to hunt down a toy with the determination of a lioness on the savanna.
The feather wand has been warned.
Dew doesn’t need to make a big entrance. Her gentle sweetness draws you in all on its own. But get her playing, and you’ll see a whole other side of this girl. She’s very playful, loves the hunt and has plenty of kitten energy tucked behind that softer personality.
So yes, you get the sweet, quiet girl. You also get front-row seats to her very serious career in catching things. We support a woman with ambition.
And together? That’s where this pair gets really special.
You get Doc’s brave curiosity and Dew’s gentle sweetness. Two beautiful little faces to learn by heart. Two personalities to discover. Two kittens growing up alongside each other while you get to become their family. They are incredibly bonded, the ying to each other's yang.
At first, you might find yourself looking for Dew’s white patch to tell them apart.
Then one day, you won’t need to.
You’ll know who’s investigating and who’s hunting. You’ll know which toy gets Dew’s attention fastest and what new discovery has Doc completely fascinated. You’ll learn all those little details that don’t fit in an adoption profile but somehow become your favorite things about them.
That’s the good stuff.
The “you have to come see what they’re doing” moments.
The pictures that take over your camera roll.
The evening you meant to watch television but spent playing with kittens instead.
The ordinary days that become a little more fun because these two are part of them.
They’re approximately five months old, with so much growing and discovering still ahead. Bringing them home together means they have a familiar companion as they settle in—and you get to watch this brother and sister grow from beautiful kittens into the cats you’ll love for years.
Both are great with cats, dogs and kids, making them a wonderful pair to consider for a family ready to welcome two new members.
And we do mean members.
Doc and Dew are looking for people who will include them, enjoy them and make room for everything that comes with raising two young cats: the playtime, the curiosity, the occasional interruption and the little routines you’ll build together.
People who will see those gorgeous matching coats and fall in love—
then get to know the kittens underneath and fall even harder.
Somewhere out there is a family whose home has room for an adventurous boy and a sweet little huntress.
A family who hasn’t met them yet but will someday have trouble remembering what life was like before Doc and Dew.
Two matching faces. Two unforgettable personalities. One very lucky family.
Our adoption fee is $650! We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have met your new fur babies and are ready to bring them home.
If you think you are the right home for them, please apply to adopt here:

Important Information:
All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines (age appropriate), dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!
You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyones time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.
We are very quick to respond and process applications! All animals are posted until they have gone home to their new family. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly and be prepared to welcome them into your home within a few days if you are interested.
The Adoption Process:
After our volunteers receive the application, they contact the potential adopter to set up an interview. During the interview they will:
discuss the animal the adopter is applying to adopt,
talk to the adopter about their experience with animals,
find out more about the type of animal the adopter is looking to adopt,
go over any questions the rescue may have regarding your application,
help find the perfect fit for the adopter's family and lifestyle,
and answer any questions the adopter has about the animal they are looking to adopt, the rescue, and how the adoption process works.
As part of the approval process, we require 2 non-family personal references. Our volunteers contact both references and have conversations regarding the potential adopter. If we are unable to reach the references provided, additional references may be requested. We also require a vet check. We will call the vet to conduct a short reference check.
A video walk-through of the adopter's home (and yard, if adopting a dog) is also required. The safety of our animals is one of our top priorities. They deserve to have a safe and secure place to live. The video can be sent to the Whiskers Fund email address or Facebook messenger upon submitting your application. When submitting the video, please reference which animal(s) you are applying to adopt.
Once the adopter is approved and matched with an animal, we will make arrangements for the animal to go to their new home. We hope to have each animal in their new home within a week. We are very clear that we will be keeping in touch and checking in for updates.
Interested in Fostering?
We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters!
