Meet Boots (aka Booty Boots, Wobble, and Miracle Girl)
Some cats come into rescue and simply need a home.
Then there are cats like Boots.
Boots came into foster care in February 2026 at just six months old, weighing only 2 pounds and 2 ounces. She was tiny, fragile, and fighting a battle no one knew she was facing.
For the first two and a half weeks, Boots required around-the-clock care. She was syringe-fed day and night just to keep her alive. She was weak and struggled to do things most kittens take for granted. She could only walk a few steps before falling over. She would try to climb into the litter box and often fall face-first. Something clearly wasn't right.
After continued concerns and additional testing, Boots was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).
FIP is a serious disease caused by a mutation of a common feline coronavirus. For many years it was considered fatal, but thanks to advances in treatment, cats diagnosed with FIP now have a chance to survive and thrive.
Boots immediately began an 84-day treatment protocol using a compounded medication specifically designed to treat FIP. Day by day, week by week, she fought her way back.
And what a fighter she turned out to be.
Today, Boots has completed her treatment and is doing amazingly well. She no longer falls over. She runs, plays, explores, and enjoys life exactly as a kitten should. She does have a slight sway to her walk that earned her the nickname "Wobble," but it only adds to her charm. It does not affect her physical abilities, intelligence, or quality of life in any way.
In fact, Boots is incredibly smart.
She is also one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet.
Boots loves everyone—humans, cats, and especially dogs. Honestly, we're not entirely convinced she knows she's a cat. She may actually believe she's a dog. She loves being involved in everything, making friends wherever she goes, and soaking up affection from anyone willing to give it.
Because of her difficult start and extraordinary journey, Boots isn't looking for just any home.
She's looking for her people.
Someone who will cherish her, love her, and appreciate the incredible little miracle she is. She doesn't require special medical care, and she doesn't consider herself special needs. She simply deserves a family willing to love her as fiercely as she has fought to be here.
Boots may never be a very large cat. She still has the sweetest permanent kitten face, and she will likely always be a petite little girl. But what she lacks in size, she makes up for with an enormous heart.
Boots is:
Spayed
Microchipped
Up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies
FeLV/FIV tested negative
FIP treatment graduate and thriving
Boots is more than a rescue cat.
She is a survivor.
She is a fighter.
She is a miracle.
And she is ready to find the forever family who will love their little Booty Boots as much as we do.
