Meet Cleo — a beautiful calico young mom with the gentlest soul.

This sweet girl was heartbreakingly abandoned by her family while pregnant. Left to survive alone in the freezing February cold, she bravely searched for food and shelter while carrying her babies. A kind stranger found her and brought her to Sunshine's Friends, where she was finally safe, warm, and loved.

Cleo delivered five kittens — two were stillborn, but three tiny, healthy babies made it. She was the most devoted and protective mama, pouring all her love into her little ones. After one perfect week together, Cleo developed a serious case of mastitis. Her kittens had to be moved to a foster home for bottle feeding. They have since been adopted. Cleo has fully recovered, been spayed, and is now ready to find her forever home.

This loving calico is hoping for a soft place to land. She can be adopted as an only cat, or she would also do wonderfully with a kitten or two — she never really got the chance to be the mama she was meant to be and still has so much love to give.
