Meet Rene — our resident working cat!
Rene came to us as a stray and surprised everyone by giving birth to kittens the very next day. She did her job well—her kittens are now raised and weaned—and it’s finally her turn for a happy ending, on her terms.
Rene is a feral/unsocialized cat. She’s not looking to be a house pet or cuddle buddy, and she’s happiest when she can keep her distance and just be a cat. She’s not aggressive, but she prefers minimal human interaction and will do best in a space where she can live independently.
What she does offer is top-tier, all-natural pest control. Barns, shops, garages, warehouses—if you’ve got rodents, Rene is ready to get to work.
She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and negative for FIV/FeLV, so she’s healthy and ready for her next chapter.
Rene will need a safe, secure place to acclimate (like a stall, tack room, or enclosed area for a two week period), along with consistent food, water, and shelter. In return, she’ll take care of the rest—no cuddles required.
If you’ve got the right setup and respect a cat who values her independence, Rene might be your perfect match.
