Warning LONG personal story about me......My name is Mice Krispie... and let me tell you, I had everyone fooled. . When I first arrived at animal control, I was brought in by a lady who said she found me in a parking lot. I was scared, overwhelmed, and definitely not showing my best side. I ended up in a tower at the shelter, and because I was so terrified, everyone thought I was feral. That's where Klassy Kats stepped in. They pulled me because they didn't want my fear to be the reason I didn't get a chance. They thought I was going to be a barn kitty, and honestly... the day they picked me up to get fixed, I did a pretty good job convincing them that I was exactly what they thought — a big, scary feral guy. So they named me Mice Krispie because they figured I was going to be a tough barn cat who liked mice more than people. But then something funny happened... They gave me time to decompress, and within 24 hours I was asking for leg rubs, enjoying pets, and talking sweetly to my foster. Turns out, I wasn't feral at all. I was just scared. I'm a BIG boy — 15.1 pounds of handsome! When I went to the vet, we discovered that I had already been neutered. While I was under anesthesia, they noticed marks showing where I used to wear a collar, which means I was probably somebody's house cat at some point. Somewhere along the way, I ended up outside and alone, and honestly... I think I got the raw end of somebody's deal. I got my vaccines updated, had my combo test done, and got my ear tipped because I was supposed to join the Klassy Kats barn kitty program. But after seeing the sweet boy hiding underneath all that fear, they brought me back into regular foster care where I can free roam with other adult kitties. I'm a loving guy, but I do prefer to be the king of my castle. I'm not a fan of other cats in my space, but I'm respectful — if they leave me alone, I'll leave them alone. My perfect home would be with someone who wants one big, handsome guy to love. One important thing about me: I do not do well crated. I need the freedom to feel safe and comfortable. So here I am... Mice Krispie. The “feral” cat who turned out to just be a big teddy bear with a rough beginning. Sometimes the cats who scare us at first are the ones who just need someone to believe in them. Love,Mice Krispie
