DESCRIPTION
Mac has the kind of laid-back personality that makes you feel at ease just being around him. According to the people who know him best, he's a sweet, chill cat who enjoys pets, absolutely loves a good butt scratch, and gets along wonderfully with other cats. Even during a hectic intake day filled with noise, activity, and constant movement, Mac remained calm and relaxed, curling up comfortably and accepting affection from staff. That steady, easygoing nature speaks volumes about the kind of companion he is.
The shelter has been a little overwhelming for Mac, and right now he's spending much of his time tucked away in his hide box while he adjusts. Even so, he's keeping up with his meals, using his litter box well, and still enjoying catnip when offered. Once he feels safe, it's easy to imagine the affectionate, gentle cat described by his previous caregiver emerging again. Mac seems like the kind of cat who will reward patience with quiet companionship, contented purrs, and plenty of opportunities to provide those beloved butt scratches.
