🇺🇸
Homer Glen, Illinois
June 6th

DESCRIPTION

If you've ever wanted your very own miniature jaguar, Apollo is ready to make that dream come true. This handsome black boy turns heads with his sleek coat, striking features, and confident presence—but beneath that wild-cat appearance is one of the sweetest, funniest cats you'll ever meet.

Apollo is a comical, affectionate companion who firmly believes that pets and attention should always include him. If you're giving out head scratches, Apollo will be right there to make sure he gets his fair share—and probably a little extra. He loves people and has a cheerful, easygoing personality that wins over everyone he meets.

Apollo's story is one of incredible resilience. He survived an extreme hoarding situation and later overcame a life-threatening battle with FIP. Through it all, he has never lost his loving spirit or positive outlook on life. Apollo is also FeLV+, but you'd never know it from his attitude. He feels great, enjoys life to the fullest, and his condition has remained regressive.

Though Apollo has tested positive for FeLV, he can still be a great companion in the right home. Apollo would have to be housed with other cats that are testing positive for FeLV as well. Apollo can also live with dogs and other animals, as FeLV is not contagious to any other animal other than fellow cats. FeLV is a permanent illness, and can cause a shortened lifespan in cats. Because Apollo is FeLV regressive, he can still live a happy and fulfilling life. Keeping an eye on auxiliary illness and symptoms is vital, and a strong relationship with your veterinarian is crucial to keeping a cat with this illness.

One of Apollo's favorite things is spending time with his best friend, Labubu, a tiny white kitten who adores him. They would love nothing more than to find a forever home together. However, Apollo is such a friendly and social cat that he would also do wonderfully in a home with other feline companions as long as they are also Felv+. He gets along well with all of his roommates and enjoys having kitty friends around.

Apollo has survived more than most cats ever should, and now he's ready for the easy life—a home filled with love, pets, laughter, and a family to call his own. Could that family be yours?

This pet is altered (spayed/neutered), up to date on age appropriate vaccines, tested negative for FIV, dewormed and microchipped. An adoption application must be submitted and approved prior to scheduling a meet and greet appointment: www.felinefinecatrescue.org/adopt.
