Meet Lewis, A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever Home!
Sometimes life changes in ways that our pets simply do not understand. Lewis was adopted as a teenage cat and spent nearly 7 years loving his family. Sadly, his owner developed terminal cancer and could no longer care for him, so Lewis found himself back at the shelter through absolutely no fault of his own.
Now this handsome tuxedo boy is looking for someone who will show him that his second chance can be just as wonderful as his first. Lewis is an affectionate, gentle guy who absolutely loves his humans. In fact, he has perfected one of the most adorable ways to ask for attention: he will sit up on his back legs and beg for pets! We are pretty sure Lewis thinks he is part poodle but honestly, we are not going to correct him. It is far too cute! 😂
At this stage of his life, Lewis is not looking for a wild and crazy household. He is a calm, laid-back kind of guy who would love nothing more than to settle in beside his person, curl up on a soft blanket, and spend the evening watching TV together. And when we say his person, we really mean it. Lewis would be happiest as an only cat, where he can soak up all the love, attention, and affection for himself. After spending years as someone's beloved companion, this sweet boy deserves to be someone's special guy again.
Affectionate? Absolutely!
Loves his humans? Very much!
Thinks he's part poodle? Apparently!
Netflix & chill expert? Definitely!
Snuggly blanket enthusiast? 100%!
Best as an only cat? Yes!
Lewis is not asking for much, just a quiet home, a loving human, a cozy blanket, and a lap-side seat for all his favorite TV shows. After everything he has been through, he deserves a forever home where he can finally stay.

Applying to Adopt
Once you and your family have spent time with the cats in the adoption room and are ready to adopt,
please visit the adoption section of our website: www.thecatcornerinc.com/adopt
Our adoption process page will provide you with all of the information you need to know about adopting through our organization, including what to expect, what information we will require from you, and finding your purrfect match.
Thank You For Choosing to Adopt!!
As a no-kill rescue, we can only bring in and save more cats and kittens in need as our current cats and kittens are adopted. This is why we say that when you adopt one cat or kitten you are actually saving TWO lives! One is the current cat or kitten that you are adopting, the second is the one that we now have room to save and place into our safe shelter.
