Meet Nimbus

Nimbus's rescue story started with an unexpected visitor. One day, a caring couple in Columbus, Mississippi, checked their Ring doorbell camera and discovered a tiny kitten sitting outside their second-floor apartment door. Somehow, Nimbus had made his way inside the apartment building and up to their door, seemingly knowing exactly where to go to find help.

Now safe indoors, Nimbus has grown into a playful, energetic kitten who is always ready for his next adventure. He loves to roughhouse, wrestle with his feline friends, chase toys, and turn ordinary moments into exciting games. If there's fun to be had, Nimbus wants to be part of it.

He's also a friendly, social boy who enjoys being around people. Nimbus has been around children and dogs and has done well with both, making him a great fit for many different types of families.

Like most active kittens, Nimbus would thrive in a home with a playful feline companion or could be adopted with another kitten. He has plenty of energy, lots of love to give, and a personality that's impossible not to adore.

Nimbus somehow found his way to the right door when he needed help. Now he's looking for the door that will lead him home forever.

Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
