Siamese toasted marshmallow status: Barely warm. Definitely needed longer on the fire.

Little Dirtclod is a reminder of the reality of the harshness of having a feral cat population. He's as sweet as can be, but came to us emaciated, full of worms, with a bad respiratory infection that can (and did) spread to his eyes, and so covered in fleas that the water ran red when we bathed him. Despite everything, Dirtclod rebounded *exceptionally* quickly with some TLC and a lot of meds. Even when his eyes were swollen shut and he was completely blind initially, he was still astoundingly playful, chasing after ANYTHING that made a sound and wrestling with his fellow fosters. While his vision may end up extremely limited, Dirtclod is energetic and playful. While generally too busy running around for cuddles, if you lay your hands on him, he's just an instant purr factory (he loves belly rubs). In this fosters opinion, Dirtclod is the epitome of why we take on some of the harder cases. He's worth every minute of time invested. We think he's adaptable enough to take on about any new home, whether dogs, cats, or a mask of rabid raccoons...he's got the spark and fearlessness to keep up!

Dirtclod is a very sweet, calm, but extroverted, snuggly boy. He would love a home with lots of snuggles and some play time. He instantly purrs whenever he sees someone coming his way. He is currently still recovering from an upper respiratory infection that significantly affected his eyes, and his vision is decreased at this time. We are hoping once he recovers, he will have all or most of his vision return. However, this does not stop him from running, playing and climbing! Dirtclod will definitely need to go to a home with a fur friend--he would love to go home with one of his Smallstead siblings!

All of our cats and kittens are fostered in homes so we know their personalities. They are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, up to date on shots, microchipped, de-wormed, and on flea preventative. Our goal is to match our fosters with the best home possible.

The adoption fees for our felines are as follows: $150 for kittens (or 2 for $250); $100 for adult cats (or 2 for $170); and $75 each for our special seniors/FIV+ kitties. Please email cofaspets@gmail.com for more information.
