Meet BONDED BUDDIES Miss Marple & Hercule Poirot
In early spring of 2026, this darling duo was dumped at a park in Kentwood. We can't even begin to imagine who would leave behind two amazingly sweet cats.
And why!? It remains a mystery... which is exactly how they earned their names.
Neighbors along the edge of the park began feeding them and keeping an eye on them. Then, on April 23rd, three-time rescuer Kathy M. reached out to see if we could help after the pair showed up at her doorstep begging to be let inside. Of course, we weren't going to turn them away, especially after everything these clearly indoor kitties had already endured.
We estimate they are related likely siblings and were approximately 3-1/2 years old at intake, putting their birth sometime in late fall of 2022.
What's remarkable is that despite being abandoned, they still trust people completely. They love being with us, are settling in beautifully, and we have no doubt they'll find themselves a family to adore.
Hercule was absolutely petrified at first. He clearly wasn't accustomed to fending for himself and still has moments of shyness, but recently he's begun coming out of his shell and becoming more social.
Miss Marple, on the other hand, wants the whole world to hear her stories. She loves to talk, follows us everywhere, and makes it very clear that attention is her favorite thing and we are more than happy to give it.
Together, they make the perfect pair. They may be complete opposites in many ways, but they complement one another beautifully. Hercule looks to Miss Marple to take charge, like only a big sister can.
Because of that, we will not be separating them. They've already lost enough once. Their next chapter deserves to be together.
