Theo and Ari are brother and sister, born about Dec 2019. They are very bonded and must stay together. They need to be rehomed due to child's allergies. From current owner: I have owned cats my entire life, and these are the most well mannered and reserved cats I have ever had. Both cats only meow to say hello, and would not be caught begging for food; they will wait patiently at your side. They both love cuddles, and will take turns spending time with you, as well as lay together with you or on a comfy spot. They have lived with kids, but would prefer a quiet house. They really become themselves once the kids are asleep and they can hang out with just me. Both of them are shy, and will be very shy with new owners for probably at least a month. But once warmed up, they have nothing but love.
Theo is a handsome, tuxedo male cat, with a notable spot on his chin. He is cool, calm, and relaxed. He is smart, and loves to play fetch. Theo will wait in the background until his turn to come up and get some cuddles. He loves sitting or laying with you to watch a movie or TV show. He loves sleeping next to you or on your legs at night in bed. And he absolutely loves to eat. He might pick on his sister a little bit sometimes and is more of the alpha of the two, but when it comes down to it he is just a big softy and wants to lay and cuddle with her. He acts too cool for school, but just wants all the pets and love in the world. He is okay sitting with you, or playing fetch with little bursts of energy.
Ari is an adorable, brown tortie tabby. She may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but she makes up for it with pure love and affection. Ari will not think twice about going to a stranger for pets. She loves to sit with you in bed, on the couch, or where ever just to steal a few pets or or to spend some time. She has nothing but love to give, and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Her favorite thing to do is sleep with or near you. She also loves playing, but she might be the worst hunter I have ever seen... haha. She is all around a friendly, loving, couch potato princess.
Medical and Care:
-All vaccines and medial visits up to date (annual/routine check ups done every year).
-Unsure if they would live well with other cats or dogs. They are very passive shy around things they don't know, and might not come out of hiding or be themselves.
-Both cats are trained and calm to have their front nails cut. I do not cut back nails, but you are free to give it a go.
-Both cats are extremely passive and have no issues being picked up, pet on bellies, or anything. I have never been bit, or had them bit anyone, ever. These are the only cats I have ever owned that I can say that and actually mean it.
-Ari is a weirdo and dips her paw in the water bowl before drinking. Just a heads up to ensure water is free of litter every once in a while.
-Theo will not hesitate to eat Ari's food (wet food), so keep an eye out. They are both fine with sharing timed dry food with a split feeder. Timed dry food or feeding in portions is preferred, as they both need to lose about 1 pound (or so the vet says. They are 14 pounds each).
-They are currently fed wet food once per day (usually around dinner, but can be whenever). We recommend keeping this to continue to help them lose weight.
-Ari has a weak stomach, and sometimes eats too fast. This sometimes leads to throwing up more than an average cat, but it is nothing that is a health concern.
They both have to eat hydrolyzed protein foods due to food allergies to the normal proteins.
