Hi! I'm Tapioca.
I'm the brave one—or at least that's what my sister, Milk Tea, thinks! I like to be the first to investigate new things, and she usually follows right behind me. My favorite hobbies include zooming around the house, chasing wand toys, and proudly carrying my toys around in my mouth. (Someone has to keep them organized, right?)
Life wasn't always this fun.
My sister and I were rescued from an outdoor feral colony after we became very sick with a severe upper respiratory infection. I almost lost both of my eyes, but thanks to months of eye medications and a foster mama who refused to give up on me, I still have both eyes and usable vision. Then, because the universe apparently thought I needed one more challenge, I got ringworm (it's basically athlete's foot—not actual worms!), which meant weeks of medicated baths, stinky lime sulfur dips, and quarantine. Milk Tea somehow escaped the whole thing. Lucky girl!
We're still shy with new people because we came into rescue as older kittens, but once I know I'm safe, my purr motor turns on the moment I see my foster mama. My dream is to find a patient, adult-only home where Milk Tea and I can keep doing zoomies together, chasing toys, and finally spend the rest of our lives knowing we're loved.
We are fixed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. We are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
To ensure our team can focus on their care and lifesaving work, we kindly ask that you refrain from calling or messaging for status updates. Because we receive a high volume of applications, we are only able to contact those who are selected for the next steps and will not respond to every inquiry. Thank you for understanding and patience.
MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Go to https://petlover.petstablished.com/organization/1951865 and Click "adopt" on the kitten's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process. (NOTE: If the kitten is a bonded pair, do not apply for him/her as a single kitten. These applications will not be considered)
2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days. Due to the volume of calls/inquiries/messages, please do not call to check the status of your application. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament.
3) Priority will be given to those who are open to adopting in pairs or who have a resident kitty looking for a new friend. Kittens do best when they have a friend. Read why here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens
