Meet Mildred! This sweet girl, affectionately known as Milly, is a very sweet, gentle, and loving approximately 3-year-old cat who has been through quite a lot in her short life. Until recently, she spent her days living outdoors full-time, and when her previous owners could no longer afford to provide her with food or veterinary care, they made the loving decision to turn her over to someone who could help her have a better life.
Milly arrived in rough shape, but with some TLC, she has blossomed into a healthy, happy girl. She is now spayed and vaccinated and ready to find her forever home.
Milly can be a little shy at first and needs some time to decompress and feel safe. But once she knows you, she lets her sweet personality shine, and she will happily show you just how affectionate she can be. She especially loves gentle, quiet people who will let her take things at her own pace (like most cats). However, she demonstrated an impressive level of patience with household chaos and other pets. She calmly tolerated her current owner's very curious dogs investigating her personal space -- in fact, recently she has even started head-butting the dogs affectionately. She has even put up with a rambunctious kitten companion. Honestly, we’re not sure if she’s incredibly patient or has simply decided that life is too short to argue with a kitten. So Milly may benefit from having another friendly cat or gentle dog in the home.
Milly has already had multiple litters despite being quite young herself, so she deserves to spend the rest of her life being someone’s beloved companion, not someone’s backyard cat or a mama cat. She would absolutely thrive in a quieter home where she can relax, feel safe, and soak up all the love she deserves. After everything she’s been through, she is more than ready for the easy life: a cozy spot, a peaceful home, a loving person, and plenty of affection.
If you’re looking for a gentle, sweet companion who just needs a little patience at first before revealing her loving heart, Milly may be your girl!
Milly is spayed, up to date on her vetting, and FIV/FELV negative. She has excellent litter box manners and is to be an INDOOR ONLY kitty.
Milly's current owner took her in from a rough situation to ensure that she would be safe, but she cannot keep Milly long term. We (FFOCAS) are helping Milly's current owner find her forever family! If you are interested or have any questions please email us at ffocasfelicia@gmail.com or reach out via PetFinder. We will ask you to fill out a rehoming application to help keep this process safe.
