DESCRIPTION

1 1/2 year old Sisters - Dixie and Nala- are looking for a new home. They were adopted together as kittens, but sadly their people can no longer afford to care for them. These girls have been well loved, and while they are not dependent on each other, they do play well together and like each other. We are looking for a home for the two of them, but we want to make sure this home is going to be permanent. For that reason we would like to have an interested family foster them for 2 to 4 weeks and be sure they feel they are going to be a good fit.

Originally the girls were fostered in a home with big dogs and multiple cats, visitors coming and going. In their adoptive home, they grew up with two young boys, to active medium sized dogs and one adult cat. They are very social cats! They are very friendly, but neither one likes to be picked up or cuddled - they will sleep with you and they love to be petted and get attention, but just please dont

Dixie is the brown tabby girl, and she is quite a character! This girl never stops shes very smart. She will figure anything out in a heartbeat. Dixie will chase a laser toy forever - she will chase any toy forever! She loves catnip and climbing up high, and this girl would be a door-dasher - trust us she is very fast! She loves sitting in a catio, preference will be given to a home that has one. Dixie is probably one of the most outgoing cats we have ever seen, and truly a sweetheart.

Nala is the pretty Siamese girl, mildly cross eyed and very gentle. Shes rather the opposite to Dixie - it takes some time for her to decide she can trust you. Thats just her initial reaction - once she decides youre OK shes very friendly as well. Her adaptive mom said both of the girls would sleep with them at night, they both cuddled with the other animals, and have no bad traits.

Dixie did have a sore on her neck when she came back into foster, the vet felt it was probably due to scratching at fleas. Both girls have since been treated with Bravecto, a three month flea medicine. They are Microchipped and vaccinated.

The girls dont have room to run far in their foster home because of the resident animals. For this reason, if you choose to foster to adopt, there will be no adoption fee.
