Atlas - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Evanston, Illinois

I'm Atlas, and my day job is managing humans. When my humans come back home after a long day away, I greet them at the door. As I've come to understand it over my 250+ day stay at Paws and Claws, it's important to keep an eye on you humans and make sure you aren't getting into any trouble. This is why, in my forever home, I would love some high-up spots so I can watch my humans go about their day-to-day activities. In return, I promise to thoroughly investigate every nook and cranny of our home, to ensure everything is safe for us. While I'm not much of a snuggler, I do love being pet. Once I trust you, I will roll over and show you my belly so I can get some pets there, too. Don't be alarmed if you notice me giving you some headbutts, either: in my world, those headbutts mean that I trust you (and that I would like some gentle scritches, please.) My favorite time of day is when my humans are settled in for the evening, and we get to spend some time together. I love when my humans bring out the wand toy for me to play with! Once everyone is tired out, I like to tuck my humans into bed and make sure they're settled in well. Once I'm sure my humans are well taken care of, I settle into bed myself, sometimes sleeping by their feet for maximum protection. In the morning, we all wake up and I get the luxury of spending another day in my forever home with my favorite people.

Atlas is 4 years and 8 months old. He would do best as a solo-kitty.
