Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption in Evanston, Illinois

Hi, I’m Atlas and I love managing humans. When my human comes back home from a long day away, I greet them at the door when I hear them approach. It’s important to keep an eye on my human, so I would love a forever home with some high-up spots so I can watch them from when they move around to cook or do chores (and so I don’t get in the way!). I investigate a lot to make sure everything is safe for them.

My favorite time of day is dinnertime, when my human feeds me and gets to spend the rest of the evening with me. After eating, I like to play with my toys, but can keep myself plenty occupied without my human's help if they're busy. I love chasing balls, mice, and wine corks in the hallway. It's also fun to bat the ball back and forth when my foster human is sitting on the floor!

As for snuggling, I don't mind being picked up for a brief cuddle, but I prefer my paws on solid ground. I enjoy being petted when I am laying down and, when I trust you, I will let you rub my belly. I like hanging with humans on the sofa when it is TV time, but it’s even better when they dangle a wand toy while they are watching the screen. At night, I like to tuck in my foster human and make sure they are settled. Sometimes I stay for the night, but mostly I hang out in the living area because there are more toys to chase after dark.
