Sweetsie - Domestic Short Hair Cat Available for Adoption in Elmwood, Louisiana

Do you want a cat who truly knows herself? Allow us to introduce Sweetsie: a 9-year-old tabby with a heart of gold and the confidence of someone who absolutely will not tolerate foolishness.

Sweetsie is, as her name suggests, incredibly sweet. She'll greet you like you've just returned from a heroic quest (even if you only just woke up from 8 hours of sleep). Sweetsie can't wait to be doted on with some ear rubs or chin scritches, and she enjoys a good play session with her beloved teaser wand and feather duster toy, because even a princess must stay active!

Sweetsie believes in healthy boundaries. She's not into clingy chaos or dramatic friendships. If you cross the line, she'll politely (but firmly) let you know. Who doesn't love honesty in a relationship?

She's also a wellness icon. Sweetsie enjoys the finer things in life, like a little salad and lean turkey as a treat. Balanced diet? Glowing coat? Strong nails? We love a self-care girly.

Sweetsie would thrive either as your one-and-only feline ruler or in a home with a chill, respectful cat who understands that coexistence > codependence.________________________________________________

**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved. One of ARNO's volunteer adoption counselors will be in contact with you to notify you of your approval status as well as arrange that appointment. Please see the link above to apply.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs:

Puppies under 1 year - $300-$350
Adult dogs (1 - 7 years) - $250
Seniors (8 years and older) - $200
Bulldogs, Standard Poodles and Dachshunds $350


Cats:

Adults (1 year and older) - 1 for $125 / 2 for $200
Kittens (under 1 year) - 1 for $175 / 2 for $225

For all animals that have not been spayed or neutered a $100 deposit will be required in addition to the adoption fee. The deposit is refundable upon completion of the spay / neuter surgery.
