Meet Ombre, a sweet 11-month-old neutered male.

He was trapped back in May, in the backyard of one of our amazing volunteer trappers. Life on the streets hadn't been easy on him — he came in with a tail injury that needed time to heal, so his first stop was a foster home just for recovery. Once he healed up, he moved in with an experienced foster who specializes in helping shy cats build confidence.

And he needed it. Ombre was born on the streets, and humans were a big question mark for him at first. But we took a chance — and honestly, we're so glad we did.

He's still a little timid meeting someone new, but give him a minute and he flips into full love mode: rolling over, headbutting you like you're old friends, and drooling from pure happiness (yes, really — that's how you know you're doing it right). He's obsessed with mouse toys, has never met a meal he didn't like, and gets along great with other cats.

Ombre just graduated to the shelter, where he's working on getting comfortable around more new faces. We're hoping his forever home isn't far behind. Come meet him!
