Archie = Cuddle manager, full-time wrestler of siblings
Marty = Orange-cat energy without necessarily being orange
Archie and Marty are brothers who were found as part of a litter at a Bojangles. Despite their humble beginnings, they've fully embraced indoor life and are experts in cuddling, wrestling, purring, and generally causing kitten-sized chaos.
----
Archie
Archie is the biggest of the two and the unofficial welcoming committee.
If you open the door, Archie is usually the first one trying to make a break for freedom - but don't be fooled. He is also the first to get scooped up and immediately starts purring like nothing ever happened.
He loves people, loves laps, and has zero hesitation about climbing onto you the moment you sit down. Once he's settled (after eating and getting his playtime), he melts into full cuddle mode and can fall asleep right in your arms.
He is affectionate, social, and very convinced that every human is his personal best friend.
----
Marty
Marty has approximately three thoughts at any given moment, and all of them are competing for attention.
Unlike his dramatic brother, Marty is more of a "patient observer" when the door opens - often just sitting in the bathroom like, "Guys...we literally have food about to arrive."
He'll come in for cuddles, get distracted by a tail, a toy, or literally nothing at all, sprint off to investigate, and then calmly return like he never left. Curious, playful, and endlessly entertaining, Marty keeps life interesting.
----
A Note About Their Routine
While they think they want cuddles first, their best routine typically looks like:
Eat
+/- Play hard (zoomies, wrestling, general chaos)
Melt into deep cuddle naps
Once they've had a meal and burned off energy, they become incredibly affectionate and will often fall asleep in your lap.
----
Kitten Manners (Important!)
These boys are still learning that hands, clothing, and buttons are not toys. If they get overstimulated or start nibbling, the best approach is gentle redirection:
redirect to a toy (wand toys work great)
pause cuddle time briefly if they get too excited
reward calm, gentle cuddles
They're smart and learn quickly-it's just kitten enthusiasm outpacing impulse control.
----
Adoption Notes
These brothers are happiest together or in a home with another playful cat.
They learn from each other, entertain each other, and help keep each other socially balanced. Separating them would mean losing a built-in playmate, cuddle buddy, and chaos manager.
If you're looking for double the purrs, double the comedy, and double the kitten chaos that eventually turns into lap naps... Archie and Marty are your guys.
