Sonya - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Diamond Springs, California

Some siblings are close. Coley and Sonya are inseparable.

Coley is a goofy, incredibly friendly, loving little guy who has some neurological deficits believed to be the result of trauma he experienced before coming to us. He has a permanent head tilt, can be a little wobbly at times, and is deaf, but none of that has stopped him from being a happy, affectionate kitten who loves people!

His sister Sonya is just as special. This confident, playful, beautiful girl came frighteningly close to losing her life after developing aspiration pneumonia. Thankfully, we caught it on X-rays and were able to give her the oxygen and antibiotics she needed to make a full recovery. Today, you would never know how sick she once was!

And these two? They absolutely adore each other. Sonya is especially protective of her brother. If Coley cries out from somewhere in the house, Sonya immediately runs to find him and make sure he's okay. It's one of the sweetest sibling relationships we've ever seen.

Despite their medical histories, Coley and Sonya are kittens through and through. They eat, play, use the litter box, explore, and enjoy life just like any other kittens. Coley's only special accommodation is making sure he doesn't have access to high places where he could lose his balance and fall.

They are currently waiting for their spay/neuter appointments in a couple of weeks and will be available for adoption as a bonded pair once they're ready.
