Beans is your typical orange cat—a total goofball with some questionable decision-making skills. He is super playful and will go full speed until he suddenly conks out from exhaustion.

Beans was found outside at about 9–10 weeks old, so the world can still feel like a pretty big place sometimes. He may seem a little cautious when you first meet him, especially in a busy shelter environment. That hesitancy usually lasts about 20 seconds before he melts into you, rewarding you with loud purrs—especially if you happen to have Churu lickable treats.

He has been raised with two children (ages 8–11) and around our older cats. He loves racing across our catwalk up high, but also appreciates having a cozy hiding spot under the couch when something scary happens (those trash trucks are loud!).

Beans would thrive in a playful home, especially one with another friendly cat or kitten to help burn off his endless energy. He hasn't met dogs yet, but I suspect he'd do well with a calm dog that doesn't chase cats.

Beans may not be the kitten who comes running to the front of the kennel to greet you, but don't let that fool you. New places are overwhelming, and he's still building confidence. Give him a little patience, a quiet place to settle in, and maybe a Churu or two, and you'll discover a goofy, affectionate little orange boy who's just waiting for his person.
