Meet Acadia, aka Cadi!

Cadi is a sweet, friendly 2-year-old tortie with a whole lot of love to give! Once she's comfortable, she is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention, lap cuddles, and being close to her people.

Cadi LOVES head scratches and gets so excited about pets that she'll chirp and trill to let you know you're doing a good job. She makes biscuits while she's cuddling on your lap and will give you the sweetest little headbutts when she thinks you should keep the pets coming. She is perfectly happy being picked up and placed in your lap, where she relaxes right in and settles down for some quality cuddle time.

We think it's only a matter of time before Cadi figures out she can jump into your lap herself when she's ready for some affection. She's got the lap-cat potential. She just needs to build up a little confidence first!

When she's not cuddling, Cadi loves sitting in a window and watching birds and squirrels. She also has one adorable little white sock that makes her beautiful tortie coloring even more special.

Cadi is a little shy when she first arrives somewhere new, but she warms up after a few days once she realizes she's safe. Her new family will need to start her out in a quiet room of her own until she feels comfortable and confident enough to start exploring the rest of the house. Once she's ready, she'll be happy to stretch her little tortie legs and see what else her new home has to offer.

Cadi would do best in a calm, adult-only home without kiddos. We don't know her history with cats or dogs, but given her young age and friendly personality, we think she could potentially warm up to another cat or cat-friendly dog with a proper introduction.

Cadi is such a lovely little girl, and once she gets past those first few days of "Hmm... I'm not sure about all this," you're going to see the sweet, affectionate cat she really is. Give her a little time to settle in, and she'll reward you with purrs, chirps, biscuits, headbutts, and plenty of lap cuddles.
