DESCRIPTION
MEET BEETLE! Beetle was living outside whenhe was scooped up by one of our Field Services team. He had been relaxed around his outdoor feeder and calmed fairly quickly with his Field Services friend, but he's a Community Cat and you'll have to be patient with him when you take him home. Some things to consider if adopting... In a new home, these cats will definitely spend some time in hiding: for the best transition, we highly recommend confining your new cat to a room where they can learn about their new surroundings but still feel secure. A small space such as a guest room or a home office are good choices. After living outside, being in a home can be scary to a Community Cat, so remember to be patient while they get used to their new new nest. For best results...do your homework! Most cats love food and using stinky wet food and Churu treats is a great way for you to bond with you new cat. Using a back scratcher to pet your cat while you're giving them tasty food will help them to associate petting with good things. Reserve the special food for the moments you can bond with your cats. We reccomend this at least twice a day. it doent need to be a long time but it should always end with your cat wanting more...more food, more play and eventually, more pets. Beetle is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY.
