SATURN - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Dallas, Texas

Saturn is a male cat who has tested positive for feline panleukopenia (panleuk), a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening viral disease. Saturn requires prompt veterinary care, appropriate isolation, and supportive treatment to help manage his illness and give him the best opportunity for recovery. Treatment may include fluids, nutritional support, medications to control vomiting and diarrhea, and close monitoring for complications. The level of medical care, isolation, and supportive recovery Saturn requires exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his diagnosis, Saturn remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Saturn needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive immediate veterinary evaluation, appropriate isolation from other cats, supportive treatment, and close monitoring throughout his recovery.
