Olson (aka Soot) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Cumberland, Maine

Olson is a handsome, solid-black house panther who came to HART all the way from Tennessee. This energetic boy has happily turned Room 3 into his personal playground! He loves to play, chat with visitors, and soak up attention. In fact, Olson gets so happy when he's being petted that he sometimes drools!

Olson can be a little too enthusiastic with other cats and sometimes can be a bully - he's been doing well since he's been at HART, but we think he would likely do best as an only cat. He did well when introduced to a calm dog and may do well with a chill cat-friendly dog after a proper introduction.

Olson is FIV+, but FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives with regular veterinary care and can safely live with other cats. He also takes medication to help manage stress-related behaviors and will go home with his medication so his adopter can discuss a long-term plan with their veterinarian.
