Clark - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Columbus, Ohio

We are thrilled to report that Clark is available for ADOPTION!!

CLARK is one of the 11 cats from the recent hoarding situation.

He is doing so well at our office. He loves pets and loving. He asks for it in fact. He even loves to be held!

He's still a little skinny but he's put on over a pound since in our care! He is very, very selective with cats and while he does well with the female cats (most that also came from that situation) that he shares the office with, we're not so sure how accepting he would be of other cats. He's territorial with the male cats so he might be better off as an only cat or adopted with one of his current friends.

He absolutely loves people!

He is estimated to be about 2-3 years old.
He is very well behaved.
He still has fat cheeks.

Clark was one of the first two cats that were removed from the hoarding situation. Please consider adopting him, he would be the first one getting adopted!

He's had such a sad life, let's work together to make his dream of a forever family come true!!

For the last 3 to 5 years, Clark and the other 10 cats' lives were miserable.

They were prisoners
Except for the five females that were crowded in one cage, each of the other cats lived in a separate filthy cage, inches deep in urine and feces
Sometimes they were fed and sometimes they weren't
Rarely did they have water, and if they did, it was filthy
Their litter box was not cleaned for months, with mold growing on top
They were not let out of their cage
They were not handled
They didn't have a window to see the outside world
There was no room for them to sleep comfortably, especially the 5 in one cage
The only possible positions in the cage were standing, loafing, and sitting.
There was no fresh air for them to breathe
There was no sunshine to warm their body
There were no distractions, no stimulation, no toys
They did not receive veterinary care.

EVERY SINGLE DAY, of every month of every year, THEY SUFFERED IN SILENCE.

And yet, in spite of the SEVERE NEGLECT they endured, we see a glimmer of hope. We have now gotten to know each of these poor souls, and even the tiniest progress feels like success.
