Meet Mako, a 5-month-old black DSH who arrived at the shelter as a stray with his sister, Marlin. Since he grew up here at the shelter, Mako is still a little shy—but give him a gentle touch, a soft voice, and a little time, and he warms up quickly.

Mako will need an experienced adopter who understands that shy kitties need patience, kindness, and time to feel safe. His dream would be to be adopted with his sister, Marlin. If that isn’t possible, he’d love a home with another young kitty to keep him company.
