Bobby - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Clawson, Michigan

Hello, my name is Bobby! I'm an older adult male. My Dad (foster) doesn't know if I'm the kitten that was in his outside colony many years ago, or if I was someone's inside cat that just got out and got lost. I have had a battle-scarred life, but have also been the recipient of some consistent and serious love and kindness over the years. I started showing up on Dad's deck a few years back. I was extremely timid; I would grab some food then immediately run away and dine. Then I started showing up at my Dad's evening feedings of the colony that he was caring for nearby. I was really scared! Established males don't like new males near their colonies. I was painfully away of that societal code. I was familiar with the regular evening route that Dad would take to feed his colony, and I would rush to meet him a hundred yards before he arrived. I would try to prevent him from joining the colony by walking in front of him almost tripping him! I was both afraid of the males and wanted to keep this person who cared about me all to myself. Dad would monitor the situation and diffuse any arising hostilities. Finally on one very, very cold snowy January night, as Dad was walking over to the feeding, I waited in his path, hiding under a spruce tree along the route, crying. Dad stopped and fed me there. I wasn't crying for food; I was crying for him to take me home or stay there.

Now, I am pretty well adjusted to normal domestic life. I come and wake Dad up every morning; I love giving and receiving affection. My ear tips are battle scarred because it's hard to live on the streets. Since I'm safe, secure and NEUTERED, I no longer have any "incidents" with male cats in my Dad's home. I helped my Dad take care of the 4 adorable kittens now showing at PetSmart in Rochester Hills. They loved me grooming them. I am up for adoption too! My dad can let you know more about my life now!
