Meet Oakley! With her beautiful orange-patched tabby coat and sweet eyes, Oakley is a true classic beauty with a wonderful story of resilience!
Originally a neighborhood stray who was hesitant around humans, Oakley has come such a long way, thanks to the patience and care of the wonderful rescuer who took her into her garage, monitored her, and interacted with Oakley on her own terms. Over time, Oakley went from a cautious outdoor cat to an absolute, total love bug.
Oakley is all about affection. She absolutely loves being picked up and loved on, and she will give you a hug! While she may still get startled from sudden moves or sounds, she is braver every day - in fact, she’s currently doing great in our free-roaming room with other cat residents!
She has just one quirk that may surprise you at first: she loves being petted so much that when you stop, she may grab your hand...but, she only licks it! Her sweet, polite little meows are usually her gentle way of asking for attention and love. She is so cute, it’s difficult not to take her up on her offer!
Oakley has had such an amazing journey since her days as a stray, and she is ready to bring her big heart, soft purrs, and warm hugs to a loving forever home!
