To say that Luka had a rough start in life is an understatement. He was one of four, surrendered in a small cardboard box at our door on a warm evening in May ‘25. The finder said the litter of kittens were on the side of a busy road. We brought them in to safety, considered them among the lucky ones who weren’t left to perish in traffic, and sent them to foster care. But fate had other plans, and the dreaded Panleukopenia virus struck the household, tragically claiming the lives of Luka’s three siblings. To say that Luka is a survivor and a fighter is also an understatement. Luka was able to fight off the virus and recover. His foster gave him extra time to gain strength and recover completely before having him neutered and returning him to the shelter.
He hasn’t bonded with any of the other cats in his free range room but he is also curious about them. I think he would do well with one other non-alpha cat or as an only cat in a home. He has not been around small children or dogs. He takes his time getting to know new people and then bonding loyally to them, as seen in the photo above. He is a gentle little soul who has been through so much, and would like the opportunity to live out the rest of his 7 lives in a drama-free home!
Please consider making an appointment at our Sharonville location to meet Luka and see if he’s a match.
