Downy is the sweetest 8-year-old girl youll ever meet, with a heart as soft as her name. Shes incredibly affectionate and happiest when shes curled up in your arms purring away (and yes, shes a drooler when shes extra cozy ). If youre looking for a full-time cuddle companion, Downy is your girl.
Behind all that sweetness, Downy does have some very specific care needs. She has severe allergies to chicken, duck, turkey, grains, and potato starch, which means she must stay on a strict fish-only diet. Even small exposure to her allergens can cause painful flare-ups, leaving her skin inflamed, itchy, and uncomfortable so her diet must be taken very seriously.
Because of ongoing itchiness, Downy tends to overgroom and scratch, so she wears soft claw covers to help protect her skin. She doesnt mind them at all and actually enjoys her little spa days for monthly manicures! Even with these precautions, she may occasionally get small scabs or pull out bits of fur.
Downy is also very fearful of dogs, even calm ones, so a dog-free home is a must. She seems unbothered by other cats, but due to her strict diet, living with another cat could be challenging to manage.
She would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home where she can be pampered, protected, and loved like the little queen she is.
