Tonka - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

Tonka is living in a foster home! Fill out an adoption application to meet them! We do require that all kittens be adopted with another kitten or cat in the home, so that they can continue socialization and learning good habits!

This sweet kitten is spayed and fully healthy! She is up to date on vaccines. She is still receiving the core kitten vaccine series and will need additional vaccines after adoption to reach full immunization. She's also microchipped!

If you're looking for a sweet and snuggly kitten who's going to follow you around and demand cuddles, Tonka is your dream kitten. She may start off shy and timid, but give her a chance to get used to her surroundings and she'll grow braver by the day. Once she gets comfortable, there's no stopping her! Tonka loves to be held, loves to be scratched behind the ears and loves curling up on or next to her person. She's curious and adventurous, and wants to inspect everything in her surroundings. Tonka loves to play, either on her own or with a friend, and loves running, jumping and climbing. She may puff up and act tough when meeting a new person or pet, but once she knows she's safe, she gives all her purrs and kisses and love.

The only thing Tonka doesn't like is being left alone, and will make her feelings known with very loud, sad meows. If you're looking to adopt her, you'll want to pair her with a patient and playful friend. She's full of energy and personality, with a constant inquisitive expression on her little face. She gives kisses and loves petting faces. She's a little lump of love, in a fuzzy kitty body!

Litter Box Trained: Has excellent litter box habits

Unknown with Dogs: Has not been tested with dogs, so their compatibility is unknown. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet.

Cat-friendly - Hasn't spent time with other cats, but with proper introductions, it is likely they'd do great

Kid-friendly: Unknown, but likely would do great with respectful kids!
