Layla - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Charleston, South Carolina

Meet Layla! This sweet senior girl has plenty to say and isn’t afraid to let you know it! Layla is a loving, talkative kitty who enjoys having conversations with her people and soaking up all the snuggles she can get.

Now that she’s in her golden years, Layla is dreaming of a peaceful retirement home where she can relax, feel safe, and be the center of someone’s world. She doesn’t need much—just a cozy spot to curl up, a loving person to chat with, and plenty of affection.

If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will happily be your little shadow and fill your home with love (and lots of adorable chatter), Layla may be your perfect match. She’s ready to spend her golden years being loved as much as she deserves.

A website can tell part of a pet’s story, but not all of it. You’ll notice that some pets may be listed as “unknown” or may not receive a “yes” for things like house training, compatibility with children, other cats, or dogs. In many cases, this doesn’t mean the answer is “no”, it means we can’t guarantee the answer with complete certainty. Because every home, family, and pet dynamic is unique, behaviors in a shelter environment don’t always predict behaviors in a home.

That’s why adoption is about more than a website profile. Our team is here to share what we’ve observed, answer your questions, learn about your lifestyle, and help connect you with a pet that’s the right fit for your family.
