Since that injury in 2021 Phoenix remains a fully mobile and active cat that can jump, climb, and play with ease, however he doesn't have full control of his bowels. With a consistent diet he has maintained small firm stools that will sometimes land outside of the litter box. He is fully litter box trained otherwise.

Phoenix has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).While this can mean a shorter lifespan, they can still live happy, fulfilling lives with the right care - regular vet checkups, a stress-free environment, and good nutrition to support their immune systems. Cats like Phoenix don't see themselves as any different, they just need someone willing to give them a chance. Phoenix has previously lived with other cats and does very well with laid-back companions who match his easygoing energy. Because he is FeLV+, he would need to live with another FeLV+ cat or a cat that has been vaccinated against the virus.
