Sweet grey and white darling, Caara, is only about 10 months old but she was about to be released back outside at an abandoned home when her trapper discovered that she was, in fact, friendly! A friend connected her to us so that Caara could have the chance at life in a loving home and here she is. During her time in foster, in two homes, she was found to be friendly with other cats given gradual introductions. She is a little nervous in a new place (understandably) and her first inclination will be to hide but sit on the floor and talk softly to her and offer some yummy wet food and she will be out to snack and more importantly, to be pet. She LOVES to be pet on her head, chin and all over (even her belly once she trusts you), but most of all....a good strong head and ear rub makes her the happiest. The more the better! She also doesn't mine being picked up and placed in your lap and I think she is going to become a lap cat given time to adjust in her new home. She also let her foster mom trim 3 paws woroth of nails on her first try without too much trouble. She bruised her nose pretty badly in the trap and eventually all the fur fell off the length of her nose but it is growing back nicely now. All cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, micrcochipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.Meet Caara by completing the adoption application on our websit or visit her during our weekly cat adoption event on Saturday from 12-4pm at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
