Diamond - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Camden, Tennessee

Diamond has been part of Revelation Gardens for almost her entire life.

She was only about five weeks old when she and her mama, Queenie, were rescued from behind our shop on Main Street, where they had been living outdoors. Both tested positive for FIV, and Queenie was also positive for feline leukemia (FeLV). Diamond has been tested for FeLV and is negative. Diamond grew up here alongside her mama until Queenie passed away last year.

Today, Diamond is a confident, sweet and playful girl who happens to be partially blind. She appreciates being given a moment to realize someone is approaching, but once she knows you’re there, she’s happy to receive affection—and may even settle into your lap. She’s also an accomplished napper who particularly enjoys finding a perch above everyone else and surveying her kingdom.

When Diamond was a tiny kitten, she sometimes explored the yard with me under close supervision. I made up a little song for her, as I tend to do with our animals:

Baby, baby Diamond, we love you.
Baby, baby Diamond, yes we do.

I’d sing it when it was time for her to come back to me—and she would come running.

All these years later, I still sing Diamond her song.

And she still comes to me.

Diamond is FIV-positive and FeLV-negative. Her FIV status doesn’t define this happy, affectionate girl. She has grown up knowing safety and love at Revelation Gardens. Now we’d love to find the person who will sing her next song.
