This handsome 1-year-old boy was a newcomer to a feral colony, but it quickly became clear that he wasn't meant for colony life. Wearing a collar and far too friendly to be feral, Shadow had obviously known the comforts of a home. Despite efforts to locate his family, no one came forward, and he was brought to Kent Animal Shelter.

Shadow is still adjusting to all the changes in his life and isn't quite sure who-or what-to trust. He desperately craves attention, rubbing against the legs of staff and visitors, but his uncertainty sometimes gets the better of him, and he may give a little swat when he becomes overwhelmed. Beneath that hesitation is a sweet cat who wants to connect and feel safe again.

Shadow enjoys playtime, relaxing on the catio, and watching the world go by. What he needs most is a patient, understanding family willing to give him the time and reassurance he needs to rebuild his confidence and trust.
